Treadling again!
This wonderful example of a Pfaff Treadle has been kindly donated form the family of the original German owner who now lives in the North of England, (Redcar). The machine is an excellent example of it’s type with a truly unique feature! Visitors to the museum will be able to see first hand just what this is. We are always grateful to generous owners of ‘special’ pieces of history that they share with us along with their family machines.

Location
First gallery on entering the museum. Early period machines, dated from 1870’s to 1880. Also on display are some un-restored as found machines in a poor condition, unwanted and unloved! The museum is filled with fine examples of saved machines in original condition. Only light restoration is carried out to maintain condition for the museum.
